Terms And Conditions

Deep Cleaning Lewisham Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Deep Cleaning Lewisham provides professional cleaning services within its operating area. By making a booking with Deep Cleaning Lewisham, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing any booking or using our services.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

1.1 Client means any individual, business, landlord, tenant, agent or other party who requests or receives services from Deep Cleaning Lewisham.

1.2 Company means Deep Cleaning Lewisham, the provider of cleaning services.

1.3 Services means any cleaning or related services provided by the Company, including but not limited to deep cleaning, end of tenancy cleaning, pre and post tenancy cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, one-off cleans, and related tasks as agreed with the Client.

1.4 Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

1.5 Booking means a confirmed request by the Client for Services on a particular date and time, whether made online, in writing, or verbally and confirmed by the Company.

1.6 Cleaner means any individual or team member engaged by the Company to perform the Services.

2. Scope of Services

2.1 The Company provides professional deep cleaning and associated services within its designated service area. The exact tasks to be carried out during a service will be agreed in advance between the Company and the Client, based on the selected service type and any additional instructions accepted by the Company.

2.2 The Company will exercise reasonable skill, care and diligence in providing the Services and will aim to meet any reasonable standards and expectations typically associated with professional deep cleaning services.

2.3 The Company reserves the right to refuse or discontinue Services if the Premises are unsafe, inaccessible, or present conditions that fall outside normal cleaning work, including but not limited to serious health hazards, structural instability, or aggressive behaviour from occupants.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings may be requested through the Companys chosen booking channels, including its website, online forms, or other contact methods made available by the Company from time to time.

3.2 A Booking is not confirmed until the Company has provided confirmation, which may be in writing or verbally, and any required deposit or card pre-authorisation has been received where applicable.

3.3 The Client is responsible for providing accurate information at the time of booking, including the size and condition of the Premises, number of rooms, specific cleaning requirements, and any relevant access instructions.

3.4 The Company reserves the right to amend the quoted price or service duration if the information provided by the Client is materially inaccurate or incomplete, or if the Premises are found to be in significantly different condition at the time of the visit.

3.5 Any time or date given for the provision of Services is an estimate only. The Company will use reasonable endeavours to attend on time but will not be liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, access issues, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Client must ensure that the Premises are accessible to the Cleaner at the agreed time. This includes providing keys, codes, or the presence of an authorised person to grant access.

4.2 If the Cleaner is unable to gain access due to the Clients action or omission, waiting time and any additional visits may be charged, and the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

4.3 The Client is responsible for ensuring that basic utilities such as electricity, lighting, heating, and running water are available at the Premises during the service.

5. Client Obligations

5.1 The Client agrees to:

a ensure that the Premises are safe for work and free from unreasonable health or safety hazards

b secure and put away any valuable, fragile, or irreplaceable items prior to the service

c advise the Company of any areas that require particular care or are not to be cleaned

d disclose any known risks, such as loose fixtures, unstable furniture, or surfaces prone to damage.

5.2 The Client must not directly engage or solicit any Cleaner introduced by the Company for private arrangements for cleaning services outside of the Company, during the period of engagement and for twelve months after the last service provided, without the Companys written consent.

6. Pricing and Quotations

6.1 Prices for Services may be provided as fixed quotes or as estimates based on the information supplied by the Client.

6.2 Fixed quotations are valid for a limited period as stated by the Company and may be subject to change if the scope of work is altered or additional tasks are requested.

6.3 The Company reserves the right to adjust its rates from time to time. Any such changes will not affect confirmed Bookings that have already been accepted and paid for unless the Client requests changes to the service.

7. Payments and Charges

7.1 Payment terms will be communicated at the time of booking. The Company may require payment in advance, a deposit, or a card pre-authorisation to secure a Booking.

7.2 Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment for Services is due on or before the day of the service. The Company may refuse to commence or continue Services if payment has not been made in accordance with the agreed terms.

7.3 The Company may accept various payment methods, such as card payments or bank transfer, as specified by the Company from time to time.

7.4 Where an invoice is issued with agreed credit terms, payment must be made within the period stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest and administrative charges in accordance with applicable law.

7.5 If the Client disputes any part of an invoice, the Client must notify the Company promptly, providing reasons. The undisputed portion of the invoice remains payable in accordance with the standard terms.

8. Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Show

8.1 The Client may cancel or reschedule a Booking by giving the minimum notice period specified by the Company at the time of booking.

8.2 If the Client cancels or reschedules with less notice than required, the Company reserves the right to charge a late cancellation fee, which may be a fixed amount or a percentage of the service price, to cover the loss of the allocated slot and administrative costs.

8.3 If the Cleaner attends the Premises and is unable to gain access, or if the Client is not present when required to grant access and no alternative arrangement has been agreed, this may be treated as a late cancellation and charged accordingly.

8.4 The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a Booking in exceptional circumstances, such as staff illness, severe weather, or other events beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, the Company will aim to offer the Client a new appointment at a mutually convenient time. If the Client does not wish to reschedule, any pre-paid amounts for the affected service will be refunded.

9. Service Quality and Complaints

9.1 The Company aims to provide Services to a professional standard. If the Client is not satisfied with any aspect of the service, the Client must contact the Company as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within 24 hours of the service being completed where possible.

9.2 The Client should provide clear details of the issues and, where applicable, allow the Company an opportunity to inspect and, if appropriate, re-clean the affected areas.

9.3 The Companys obligation in the event of a justified complaint is limited to rectifying the service where reasonable and practicable. Any further remedy is subject to the limitations of liability set out in these Terms and Conditions.

10. Liability and Insurance

10.1 The Company will maintain appropriate insurance cover for public liability and, where applicable, employers liability, in connection with the provision of its Services.

10.2 While the Company takes reasonable care when providing Services, the Client is responsible for securing valuables and fragile items. The Company will not be liable for normal wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or deterioration resulting from the ordinary use of cleaning products when used in accordance with manufacturers instructions.

10.3 The Company does not accept liability for damage caused by defective materials, faulty equipment, or installation at the Premises, including but not limited to loose or poorly fitted items, ageing finishes, or surfaces unsuitable for standard cleaning methods.

10.4 The Companys total liability to the Client in respect of any loss or damage arising from the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

10.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits the Companys liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Waste Handling and Environmental Regulations

11.1 The Company will handle and dispose of waste generated during the performance of the Services in accordance with applicable waste and environmental regulations.

11.2 Standard household waste, dust, and debris resulting from cleaning will generally be bagged and left in the Clients designated waste collection area at the Premises, unless otherwise agreed.

11.3 Removal and transportation of larger volumes of waste, bulky items, hazardous substances, or waste streams that fall outside normal domestic refuse may incur additional charges and may require separate arrangements. The Company reserves the right to refuse to handle waste that it reasonably considers hazardous or outside its authorised scope.

11.4 The Client is responsible for informing the Company in advance if the Premises contain any hazardous materials, including but not limited to clinical waste, asbestos, or chemical residues. The Company may refuse to proceed or may require specialist arrangements at additional cost.

12. Property and Key Holding

12.1 Where the Company holds keys or access devices to the Premises, it will take reasonable steps to ensure that these are stored and used securely.

12.2 Keys may be labelled in a manner that does not directly identify the Premises address. The Company accepts no liability for any loss arising from keys being mislaid, except where such loss results from the Companys negligence.

13. Health and Safety

13.1 The Company is committed to operating in a safe and responsible manner. Cleaners are instructed to follow relevant health and safety guidelines while working at the Premises.

13.2 The Client must not request any tasks that are unsafe or fall outside normal cleaning activities, such as lifting excessively heavy items, working at unsafe heights, or handling hazardous substances without appropriate equipment or training.

13.3 The Company may decline to carry out any task that, in its reasonable opinion, would compromise the safety of the Cleaner, the Client, or other occupants.

14. Data Protection and Privacy

14.1 The Company may collect and process personal data relating to the Client for the purposes of managing bookings, providing Services, processing payments, and handling enquiries and complaints.

14.2 The Company will handle such data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and will take reasonable steps to safeguard it against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

14.3 The Client has the right to request access to personal data held about them and to request correction of any inaccuracies, subject to any legal exemptions that may apply.

15. Force Majeure

15.1 The Company shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions if such delay or failure results from events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, transport disruption, strikes, accidents, power failures, or public health emergencies.

15.2 In such cases, the Company will use reasonable endeavours to notify the Client and to arrange a revised appointment where possible.

16. Amendments to Terms and Conditions

16.1 The Company reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any revised terms will take effect upon being published or otherwise communicated to the Client and will apply to new Bookings made thereafter.

16.2 The version of the Terms and Conditions that applies to a Booking is the version in force at the time the Booking is confirmed.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

17.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

17.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of Services, whether of a contractual or non-contractual nature.

18. General Provisions

18.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

18.2 No failure or delay by the Company in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall constitute a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.

18.3 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Client and the Company in relation to the provision of Services and supersede any prior discussions or understandings, whether written or oral.

By placing a Booking with Deep Cleaning Lewisham, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
